Dr. Barreda was trained in Past-Life Regression by Dr. Brian Weiss. Dr. Weiss has been a pioneer in Past-Life Regression Therapy and has authored numerous best selling books such as Many Lives, Many Masters and Only Love is Real. Hypnosis allows access to past life memories and the subconscious mind which functions at a deeper level.
Dr. Weiss gives the following descriptions about Past-Life Regression:
“The subconscious mind is not limited by our imposed boundaries of logic, time, and space. It can remember everything, from any time. Despite the subconscious contact, your mind can comment, criticize, and censor. You are always in control of what you say. You do not enter a time machine and suddenly find yourself transported to another to another time and place with no awareness of the present. Some people in hypnosis watch the past as if they are observing a movie. Others are more vividly involved, with more emotional reactions. Still others ‘feel’ things more than they ‘see’ them.
The hypnotized mind, always retains an awareness and a knowledge of the present, puts the childhood or past life memories into context. This is also the reason why a hypnotized patient, finding himself a peasant fighting in a medieval European war, for example, can recognize people from that past lifetime whom he knows in his current life. This is why he can speak modern English, compare the crude weapons of that time with those he might have seen or used in this lifetime, give dates, and so on. He can compare the details and events with those of his current life. And all the while, he can remain in the relaxed, hypnotized state.
Regression therapy is the mental act of going back to an earlier time, whenever that time may be, in order to retrieve memories that may still be negatively influencing a patient’s present life and that are probably the source of the patient’s symptoms. Hypnosis allows the mind to short-circuit conscious barriers to tap this information, including those barriers that prevent patients from consciously accessing their past lives.
Past life therapy helps us to understand more profoundly the mind-body-spirit connection, and how we as evolving souls are responsible for creating our universe for our own spiritual growth.
The primary aim of past life therapy is to help the individual to live a more integrated lifestyle, to live in the here and now, to realize his/her connectedness to the universe, and to participate in the creative process that gives meaning to each moment of awareness.”
Sylvia Brown states that “most people have experienced clues as to their prior
incarnations. Are you drawn to a particular country, people, or a specific time period, like the Civil War? If the Grecian architecture attracts your interest you may have lived in the time Greece flourished. The same is true if you feel negative about a nationality, a place or historic time period. Your soul’s experience may not have been to your liking. Any strong affinity or aversion is a clue. You may still feel emotions of love, hate, rejection, or any other emotion that relates to a past life. We call these past life ‘carryovers’ and they can be directly related to the life you are now living.”
You will normally see images during a Past-Life Regression session the same as when you close your eyes and picture your house, what you ate for lunch yesterday, or what a loved one looks like. Whether you view the experiences during a regression session as an actual past or a useful metaphor, Past-Life Regression is an effective tool for working through major mental, emotional, and physical issues
Past-Life Regression Therapy can be used for a wide variety of issues:
- Relationship Issues
- Health Issues
- Financial Issues
- Weight Loss
- Memory Recall
- Negative Repeating Patterns in Life
